Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

Also, the tiny project from earlier in the week. I finally tried out tunisian crochet. I think Sebastian approves.

Gotta love the catnip trance at the end. heh Catnip toys are one of the best things for practicing new stitches - nice and small and no one complains if you do make a mistake in the stitch! Since I don't have the right hooks for a larger project, this was perfect for trying it out on my regular hooks. =)

Here's a still shot. I love the look of this stitch - almost a woven look instead of very obviously crochet.

  1. Love the look of that stitch. It is really pretty. I kind of fell in love with it when it was in Interweave Crochet a few issues back.

And your last photo is hilarious. Cats are so darned funny.

How is your menagerie doing this week?

  2. Yeah, Sebastian's always good for some great action shots when a new catnip toy needs a mini-photoshoot. lol We're having a better week critter-wise too. Found a better-quality low-fat food for Reilly and got the whole crew a nice water fountain. =)

This stitch was just demo'd on Knit & Crochet Now maybe a couple weeks ago too. LOVED it so I had to try it out. I'm using it to make the strap for a bag I crocheted a while back. I think I need a longer hook though - my hand hurts doing it after only a small # of rows so it's been slow going.
